Preparation for Licensure
ATI practice exams were a large component of the Nursing program at UNE. We developed SMART goals earlier in this semester. One of them was to mindfully create time and space to properly take ATI assessments. I have a particular spot in the library where I take exams, it is tucked away at a desk in the quiet section. I make sure I have everything I need and set myself up for a focused experience. I typically listen to music Vivaldi Four Seasons or Concerto for Mandolin is my go to.
By using the assessments to identify gaps in knowledge I am able to create adaptive exams specific to one topic area. I am planning on using these as I prepare for the NCLEX. The best part of the ATI resources is reading their rationale and comparing it to evidence-based resources.
Following graduation, I have planned to do 1.5 hours of practice question on ATI every morning until I take the NCLEX. I feel this will keep material fresh and my mind in test taking mode.
