Planning Change

This semester of Evidence Based Practice brings another research project.  Which I really do enjoy writing and researching.  The semester started with forming a group, and I have to say I genuinely appreciate everyone in my cohort.  This made selecting a group casual and easy.  The four of us are very productive and easy going at the same time.  We were able to quickly select a topic (Ptocin and its impact on postpartum hemorrhage.)  I feel like this sets a tone for how this project will disseminate throughout the semester, culminating with a well written final paper/presentation.

The team that has been assembled is made of people who I value to work with and highly respect.  This will drive me to be productive, produce high level work, and hold me accountable.  I can see this being an attribute that will carry over into my nursing career.  When we are surrounded by people we respect and find pride in the people we are surround by we find inspiration.  People are often driven by their peers, not forcibly, but rather inspirationally.  It’s an honor to work with such great people now and I know that I will be surrounded by others as nursing is known as the most trusted profession.

  1. Thank you, Greg, for sharing your perspective about your group’s approach to this project. It’s wonderful to hear your enthusiasm for research projects! While we’re not always able to choose our team members, the mutual respect and appreciation for each other’s contributions and strengths will certainly set the tone for a successful effort. Great work!
